Description
This is an arrangement for strings and continuo of the Ciaccona di Paradiso e dell'inferno from an Anonymous composer. The original setting is the number 5 from Canzonette Spirituali, Milano 1675, and has become recently known because of the interpretation by L'Arpeggiata and Philippe Jaroussky.
The vocal parts and the continuo (unrealized) are direct transcription of the Jaroussky interpretation, and can be used separately.
The string parts are entirely mine and they are intended to be played with 2 violins and continuo (violin II can be replaced by viola part, they both have the same music), or any other combination of 2 treble instruments and one bass.
